The Pixel 4 Orange variant made a lot of hype recently. The Orange variant is the first color ever released, or say revealed by Google. This is going to be the third color of the smartphone, other the normal black, and white.

However, it never remains a secret, although Google tried to keep it. There are already several leaks present around the internet on this color. Even several YouTubers talked about the color. But now, Google has leaked the smartphone on their own. This leak or say the ad comes from Times Square in New York.

The ad clearly represents the new variant of Pixel 4, and also mentions the launch date of the smartphone as well.

The Pixel 4 Orange is going to be the third smartphone from the rest two colors. However, it is still not clear if this color will be available for Base variant Pixel 4 or the elder brother Pixel 4 XL.

It’s about a time when Samsung generally starts the Beta Testing program for its flagship smartphones. This time, it is going to be Galaxy Note 10 and S10.

And Sammobile claims that they have some solid foolproof sources. These sources have given them the time when the new Beta Programme will begin. As per their sources, the beta program will start towards the end of this month. The first beta will be available for the United States, and some countries in the Europ continent.

As you know, the Android 9 Pie beta rollout switched to the Stable channel pretty quickly. Many smartphones got their first major update, few got their second, and few miraculously. For some devices this is was the last updates.

The Galaxy Note 10  and S10 are this year’s flagships that are going to get the Android 10 pretty soon. And the first smartphone to get the Android 10 out of the box from Samsung will launch during the MWC 2020, which generally take place during the Feb-March time frame. And this is also possible that Samsung might release the rumored Galaxy A71 which might feature Android 10 out of the box.

Also, this new smartphone might pack more good features than the upcoming Galaxy A70s, which might launch at the end of this month.

Google had slowly started rolling out the dark mode to its apps. Google Keep and Google Fit app had received the dark mode functionality earlier this year.

With the launch of Android 10, the company is focusing on a system-wide dark theme for which it needs all the native apps to have the theme option too. The Google App and Assitant app received the update today.

Source: Android Police

As seen from the screenshot , you get the option to enable Dark Mode always or follow the system theme.

The same goes for the Google Assistant App and once it is enabled everything darkens starting from the pop-up to the daily dashboard, the Explore section for discovering new things you can do, and all Assistant settings.

Go to the Play Store and update the apps to enjoy the dark theme yourself.

Update: There were some issues with the app. Due to which a new update has been published to the Play Store. You will get the notification as soon as the update goes live.

Hey Guys. OneTechStop is been here since 2014. We have seen so much of technologies on our blog, and yes people like us. They feel happy to get the tech news directly on their news feed. However, back then we didn’t have our own app. And right now, most of the major blogs around the internet has their own app, be it made from scratch, or using WebViews and what now.

But I was thinking why not get an app for our own blog? After all, mobile phones are the most important thing in the current time. Be it Android or iOS, every smartphone has got those precious storage space for your app!

And why not to utilize it?

So here we present OneTechStop’s first app to you guys!

OneTechStop on play store!

First and foremost, let me tell you about the app. The app isn’t made of native languages like Java/Kotlin or Swift/Objective-C. Instead, I have used Flutter here, which is a Mobile SDK from Google for cross-platform app development.

It uses material design concepts all around the app and makes App Development pretty easy.

Now let’s talk about the app a bit more. It is way cleaner than any app on the internet :P.

The app has simple bottom navigation, just making sure you can reach every tab easily on your large devices. Using a beautiful dark theme, making sure you do not hurt your eyes at night reading the content.

With the dark theme, beautiful color is an absolute necessity. So I am using Teal color here to make sure the colors too not hurt your eyes.

Bottom Navigation

Yes, the bottom navigation bar is having category wise pages to read from.

Home: Home tab will let you see all the current posts posted on the website. Although sometimes it may happen that app is not getting updated with the latest content, we know about it. And I am working on this. It may take time to get the data real-time.

Google: As the name suggests, the tab will let you read the current posts on everything around Google.

Microsoft: As the name suggests, the tab will let you read the current posts on everything around Microsoft.

Apple: As the name suggests, the tab will let you read the current posts on everything around Apple.

Random: Ah yes, the interesting tab. Here you can get any random news from any random category other than the ones already placed on the tabs.

Feeling Lucky? Read any of the older or new posts on OneTechStop from the random category!

Read who wrote the article on OTS

OneTechStop

Yes, you can also see who wrote which article, on any page. This feature will roll out pretty soon, since I have already published the update on Play Store, and is under process right now. On the current app on Play Store, you may not see it.

The Single Post section will not have any of the bottom navigation, but only a top back button.

As of now, the app on the Play Store doesn’t have the links visible or working. But the update which you may get in a few hours will have the links working.

Also, if you see any Youtube Link in form “www.youtube.com/<any-id>” or like that, click it, it will open your Youtube App.

As of now, this is how it works. I am trying to polish the app more.

Download the app and let us know did you like it or not. Leave a review on Play Store as well. However, do not give 1-star for the sake of giving a review. We have all the rights to remove those reviews.

Update: The Official Android 10 firmware images are live already. You can download the OTA images from their website. Installing instructions are already present on the link.

As per rumors from Canada telecoms, Android 10 will be launched for the Pixels today. The update will roll out with the Android 10 and a security update, which is still not known.

Although the careers Rogers and Telus posted about the rumors. Rogers backed out but the information is still present on Telus’s side.

However, Google hasn’t made anything official as of now. Which further deepens the story as well. Mind you, the last Android 10 Final Beta was released last month, which makes the official to roll out this month ASAP. However. the dates arent clear yet.

The latest Android version focuses mainly on privacy, along with system-wide dark mode as well. Although many OEMs made their own dark mode, for example, Samsung’s Night Mode, which is partial system-wide dark mode. As there are more Samsung apps that are not having the Dark Mode. For example, Samsung Members and Samsung Health.

And even you cannot get complete Dark mode around several apps like Google Duo or GMail on Pie, because it is simple, Pie doesn’t have the dark mode at all.

Let us know if you get the update on your Pixel!

Android will no longer be sweet as Google has decided to name Android Q – Android 10. With this, Google is finally breaking the dessert name trend which it followed from years.

The naming convention started with Android 1.6 Cupcake and was followed by 1.6 Donut, 2.0 Eclair, 2.2 Froyo, 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.0 Honeycomb, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.1 Jelly Bean, 4.4 KitKat, 5.0 Lollipop, 6.0 Marshmallow, 7.0 Nougat, 8.0 Oreo, and 9 Pie.

Google’s new naming convention now falls parallel with other operating systems like iOS, Windows and even Chrome. Google is also trying to rebrand Android with this new update.

The “Android” logo with its unique font is now tweaked down to a more simpler font with a black theme instead of green for Android 10. The reason for this was that the green color wasn’t properly visible to those with visual impairments.

There’s still green at some places, just a different shade. The Android robot still appears next to “android” or just on top of it.

You can watch the evolution of Android below.
