Today is the official release for early-access users of the Opera GX gaming browser for macOS. The Opera GX gaming browser is described as a gamers supplement designed to enable games to be played with the highest possible graphical power.

Opera says Opera GX is a “special Opera browser version” intended as an “addition to gaming.” The goal is to help you “make the most of both gaming and browsing.” Opera GX is based on a set of controls that allow you to decide how much RAM and CPU use your browser can handle. This means your Mac will need more gaming energy,

You can also customise Opera GX with a wide range of colours, sound effects and wallpapers to set the right mood. It also has a built-in ad-blocker, browser VPN, and a “GX Corner” hosting feeds for gaming news and deals.

In addition, Twitch is specifically incorporated in the toolbar and you get shortcuts to Discord, Reddit and other websites along with Telegram, WhatsApp and Twitter.

Opera also conducted several surveys and reported a lot of PC gaming stats, stating that 82% of PC gamers are on Windows and 14% on macOS. Approximately 49 per cent had technical problems, 30% had network problems, 26 per cent had memory problems, and 14 per cent had CPU problems. The macOS Opera GX can now be downloaded here.
