Sony has launched the Xperia 5 which has a quite compact device but shares the same flagship specs with the Xperia 1 launched earlier this year.
The device features a 6.1-inch OLED HDR display with Full HD+ resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 855 and features 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. On the back, it has got a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens featuring 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP wide-angle lens.
There’s an 8 MP sensor for the front selfie camera. The device comes with Sony’s “Smart Connectivity”, where it will switch to cellular data if it predicts a compromise in connection quality.
There’s also support for Dolby Atmos sound, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone is powered by a 3,140mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The Xperia 5 even supports Sony’s DualShock 4 controller.
The Xperia 5 will be available in the market starting October 4.
