Oppo has launched the Reno 2 in at an event in New Delhi today. At the event, Oppo India’s VP Mr. Sumit Walia talked about how Oppo has made a progress in the market. He revealed about Oppo’s plans to make India a global export hub and that the company has invested Rs. 2,200 crores (approx. $350 Million) in its Greater Noida facility.
He then spoke about the most important thing – the Oppo Reno 2. The Reno 2 comes with a quad-camera setup. The primary one is a 48 MP shooter, and there’s a 13-megapixel secondary camera, an 8-megapixel shooter, and a 2-megapixel camera. The Reno 2 comes with 5x hybrid zoom support and 20x digital zoom.
The device also has an Ultra Night Mode to help with low-light photography, a portrait mode, and a macro mode. The phone also supports optical image stabilization in video mode. There’s 5x hybrid zoom during the video recording mode as well.
The device has a 6.55-inch dynamic AMOLED screen with a Full-HD+ resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent with a 6th Generation Corning Gorilla Glass on top. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor onboard as well.
The phone has the same shark fin pop up camera design as its predecessor. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC powers the phone which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
Oppo Reno 2 features a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support and USB Type-C port. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1 on top.
The Oppo Reno 2 is priced at ₹36,990 (approx. $516). The device will be available starting September 20.
