Redmi K20 Pro with its younger sibling comes to India

Xiaomi has finally launched the most anticipated Redmi K20 Pro here in India. Along with the Pro version, we also have the K20 as well, launched today. Let s dive down into the forest of the cheap device with flagship specification, and see what Redmi K20 Pro and its sibling are providing.

K20 – the younger sibling

The K20 has some small difference from the elder brother. The device comes with Snapdragon 730 SoC on board, with a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel. The K20 comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard, but no expandable card slot at all.

The K20 comes with the triple camera – featuring a Sony 48MP sensor, a 13MP Wide Angle Camera and an 8MP telephoto 2X zoom. However, no dedicated depth sensor present.

The device also features an In-Display Fingerprint sensor and comes with MIUI 10 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. On top and the back, the K20 features Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display also supports HDR. The box includes an 18W charger, however, the device supports a 27W charger as well.

Redmi K20 Pro – the elder

TheRedmi K20 Pro, on the other hand, features a Snapdragon 855 SoC, along with the same 6.39-inch AMOLED FHD+ display. It also comes with options up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. And, yes, just like the younger, it doesn’t feature even the hybrid slot.

The camera specifications are similar to the younger brother. The rear triple camera setup features the 48MP Sony sensor, a 13MP Wide Angle and an 8MP 2X telephoto camera.

The device also features an In-Display Fingerprint sensor and comes with MIUI 10 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. On top and the back, the K20 Pro features Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display also supports HDR. The box includes an 18W charger, however, the device supports a 27W charger as well.

Pricing and Availability

The K20 and K20 Pro will be available on Flipkart starting 22nd June at 12:00 PM IST.

The 6GB Variant of K20 with 64GB Storage will be available for ₹21,999, whereas the 6GB 128GB storage option will cost ₹23,999. However, the pricing of the 8GB variant isn’t known.

On the other hand, the Redmi K20 Pro will cost you ₹27,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant, whereas the 8GB/256GB will cost you around ₹30,999.

And if we consider that the device will feature 18W charger in the box, but supports 27W charger, the 27W charger will be available for an extra ₹999.
