Verizon is bringing the 5G network to 20 more cities this year


Begining of this month, Verizon launched 5G in two cities, Chicago and Minneapolis. While they performed inconsistently with scattered coverage, the typical speed was in between 450Mbps to 1Gbps. This is 10 times faster than the usual LTE speed.

Currently the only 5G device you can get your hand on is Samsung Galaxy S10 5G which just went on preorder in Verizon. Once you get a 5G supported device, all you need to do is purchase a $10 addon activate 5G.

Today Verizon announced that they are going to launch 5G in 20 more cities thoughout 2019 and the cities are –

  • Des Moines
  • Denver
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Indianapolis
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Little Rock
