Samsung starts producing 12GB LPDDR4X Mobile RAM

Samsung has started manufacturing the latest LPDDR4X RAM modules. According to the firm, this RAM can power the future foldable smartphones.

The new memory module comes with the 10nm process, which is quite smaller than the 20nm process RAM on 1TB Galaxy S10 Plus. Also, this approach makes sure the size of the module reduces so that more components can be fitted into the device.

This approach also ensures that new larger batteries are on its way to future smartphones. The thickness of the LPDDR4X RAM is around 1.1-mm and is capable to handle 5 cameras, larger screen, AI and many others.

And, being the largest memory chip manufacturer, Samsung has tripled the production of 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM modules.
