S10+
My Impressions:
Good:

I’m actually impressed with the Galaxy S10 lineup of devices. Normally I think Samsung devices are a bit over priced for what they provide. I think these give you a nice balance of price per performance. Gone are the days of 4gb of ram (finally) and Samsung gives you a base of 6gb ram with their lowest end phone. You also don’t need curved sides if you don’t want them (I was never a huge fan of them so this is a nice change). I also like that Samsung gives you a lot of choices, no matter what range of device you want. Of course the S10+ is going to give you the 1TB option, but the S10e gives you minimum 128gb storage. That’s not bad in my opinion.

The obvious upgrades are also coming to these devices. Better camera, higher resolution displays, and bigger batteries. The difference here is that they’ve added features to all these usual upgrades. The display has a hole punch instead of a bezel or a notch. The camera adds a wide angle options. These are features I feel are small but are worthy add-ons to not just call these Galaxy S9…. 2’s?

Bad:

What I’m not a huge fan of is…. no much surprisingly. Samsung still refuses to use faster than 15W fast chargers for whatever reason. The design isn’t a huge change up, however I don’t think that’s going to bother many people. What bothers me most is the price. Something that the article Android Central pointed out to me (link here) is the prices actually went up! The S10e is $20 higher than the S9. With the $20 price hike you get a lower resolution display. You do get the updated processor, ram, storage, camera, but this is still the lower end S10. The “base line” S10 is up to $899! I don’t know everything that goes into building a phone but I’m a bit disappointed about the price hike. I think Samsung really could have under cut the iPhone by making each option $50 less, but that’s just me.

Conclusion:

Regardless of what I think, you, the customer are going to be the ones shelling out the cash so what do you think? Will an S10 be your next phone? Will you wait for the 5G model?  Are you impressed or depressed? Let us know in the comments below!
