Apple pulling off these iPhones from Germany
Following the consequences of losing a case to Qualcomm, Apple is paying a heavy amount. Well, in this case, following the initialization of the iPhone sales ban in Germany, the firm has removed two devices from the country.
This time it has affected two iPhone models – iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. Also, you will not get the Plus variants of these two models as well. If you can think to get the devices from Apple.com in Germany. Sorry to say, but the devices are completely removed from sale.
The legal battle is going from quite a long time. Recently, Qualcomm won the battle in China against Apple. Everything is revolving around the fact that the firm is using Qualcomm’s chipsets, without giving proper licensing fees in return. After China, Qualcomm won in Germany as well. However, in their home grounds, i.e, The United States, the battle was in favor of the Apple.
The CEO of the firm also wrote a letter to the investors, saying
While Greater China and other emerging markets accounted for the vast majority of the year-over-year iPhone revenue decline, in some developed markets, iPhone upgrades also were not as strong as we thought they would be.
