OnePlus 5 and 5T are Getting Android Pie Update

A couple of days ago, we reported that Samsung is pushing out its Android Pie update to the S9/Plus. Now, OnePlus is doing the same with the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. The company is pretty reliable when it comes to pushing updates. Last year, even the 2 years old OnePlus 3 and 3T got Android Oreo update. And now, their predecessors are getting Android Pie as well.

The rollout started this morning and will make its way to most devices over the next couple days according to OnePlus. As you probably know, OnePlus devices run on OxygenOS, which is their custom Android skin. This update bumps up its version to OxygenOS 9.0.0.

As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today and will begin a broader rollout in a few days.
