Amazon Alexa App comes to the Microsoft Store

Amazon has launched a new Alexa app for Windows 10 users, which is now available on the Microsft Store. All users in the UK, USA and Germany can install the app.

Alexa was already available on Windows 10 for a while with Cortana integration. You just had to ask Cortana to “open Alexa” and then, Alexa would appear. Now, you’ll be able to use Alexa hands-free. It can control music on your smart home devices, tell you the weather forecast, check the calendar, and similar stuff.

The app’s functionality, is, however, l]quite limited for now. You can’t use it to operate Spotify or Pandora and cant take video/voice calls like an Echo. PC specific features will arrive early next year though,
