Yesterday, we reported that Samsung teased its foldable phone via Facebook. Today, new reports suggest that the company will reveal its new Android 9.0 Pie Beta program and also tell us about the new user experience from its foldable phone. This will happen at the Samsung Developer Conference 2018.
The SDC app confirms that Samsung will talk about the foldable displays. The Korean company will also release images of its foldable device. However, it’s unlikely that the phone itself will be on display at the conference. Samsung will talk about some of the foldable phone’s critical features for app developers at SDC 2018. It wants developers to take full advantage of the ecosystem and will also take feedback from them.
“Before we take it to the market, we want to share with developers what we’ve done so far and see what they think of it,” an unnamed Samsung official is quoted as saying.
Reports suggest that the phone will have two displays. A 7.3-inch foldable internal and 4.6-inch external display. Both of them will be OLED panels. There’s a lot of hype about this device as we’re hearing about it from at least 4 years.
