OnePlus 6T Comes with a Big Screen, Powerful Internals and Low Price

Never Settle!

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 6T in New York City. The event was preponed one day so that it does not clash with Apple’s event tomorrow (October 30th). Nevertheless, here’s everything you need to know about the  Flagship killer device.

OnePlus 6T Specifications –

As we all probably know the specifications from the leaked post we did a while ago, nothing has been changed. Those leaks were legit.  The phone is running on the same Snapdragon 845 processor from the OnePlus 6. The in-display fingerprint sensor is now officially called “Screen Unlock.” OnePlus claims it’s the fastest-performing implementation of in-display fingerprint authentication yet. OnePlus says that the chin is now smaller than most of the all-screen Android phones.

Coming to the display, he 6T features a massive 6.41-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 (402ppi). The phone is backed up by its massive 3,700mAh battery, which is a slight improvement over the 6. The phone also has a ‘teardrop’ shaped notch which is smaller than most of the notches across the industry.

The performance is top-notch on the 6T (No pun intended). Its Oxygen OS will continue to provide lag-free and smooth performance just like the OnePlus 6. At its event, OnePlus said that it will out-perform every android flagship present till date. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 in particular. However, since the screen resolution is lower on the 6T as compared to Note 9, it’s not a big deal.

OnePlus 6T Camera –

The 6T has got 16MP and 20MP sensors in the front with a f/1.7 aperture for the primary lens. It supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) as well as EIS. The device can also record videos at 480 fps slo-mo.  “Nightscape” is OnePlus’s new software functionality to improve low-light photography.  A new Studio Lighting feature is also developed in collaboration with photographer Kevin Abosch. It similarly aims to produce more flattering portraits.

The phone will ship with OnePlus’s Oxygen OS on top of Android 9 Pie. OnePlus has implemented its full-screen gestures in Oxygen OS which is excellent, as Google’s stock gestures weren’t liked by many.

OnePlus 6T Price and Availability –

In the US, OnePlus is partnering with a T-Mobile for direct sales. The device is also compatible and certified with Verizon’s network. The 6T is available in mirror black and midnight (matte) black at launch, with more colors coming later.
