Instagram Now Supports Group Video Calling for upto Six People

Instagram introduced group vide calling back in June. The feature supported calling upto 4 people but this has finally changed. With today’s update, you can now talk to upto six people on an Instagram Group Video call.

Just like before, you can also minimize group call and continue scrolling throughout the app. To start a video chat, swipe into your Direct inbox and open any message thread. Tap the new camera icon in the right corner, and the video chat will ring your friends’ phones.

Apple is also testing a similar feature with Group FaceTime. It was first supposed to be launched with iOS 12 but Apple pulled it towards the end of the beta testing process.

Which one do you prefer? Instagram or FaceTime? Let us know in the comments below.
