Galaxy S10 to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner

This new patent from Samsung gives us detailed information about Galaxy S10 in-display fingerprint scanner. There were rumors about the S9 to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, Samsung never implemented the same, instead might bring it with S10.

Samsung has registered a patent for the in-display Optical fingerprint scanner. According to WIPO, Samsung has registered this patent, at the beginning of the year. However, the original patent dates back to April 2017.

Good to see that Samsung is going with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Also, do note that the display will have a very minimal bezel down below. The most of the section of the sensor will have pressure sensors around.

The first device that came with an In-Display Fingerprint scanner is the Vivo Apex.
