AT&T Aids Customers Affected By Hurricane Florence

As of posting this article Hurricane Florence has struck a chunk of the East Coast of the United States. Hurricane Florence hit the shores of the North and South Carolina as a Category 1 Hurricane. Much better than the Category 4 that it was before making landfall, but still not good. At the very least AT&T has stepped up providing some form of relief for their wireless, TV, and Internet customers.

What AT&T Wireless Customers Can Expect

Customers using AT&T (both wireless AND prepaid) in areas affected by Hurricane Florence will have their wireless bill credited and waived of any additional charges from September 11th to September 25th. This will provide unlimited talk, text, and data for any affected during the above mentioned dates.

What AT&T Internet, TV, and Video Customers Can Expect

Customers who use AT&T as their Internet Service Provider and their Video provider can get information on outages, report outages, or suspend any billing at 1-800-288-2020. Those that still have DIRECTV can call 1-800-531-5000 to inquire about service, damaged equipment, or to temporarily suspend their service to not incur billing.

But What About Cricket Customers?

Cricket Wireless customers who can’t get to a store between September 14-17 will get a little more time with an extension to the time period they can make their payment. The date on AT&T’s website says until September 17.

All AT&T Customers Will Be Able To Donate Through Texting

All AT&T customers will be able to donate $10 to Red Cross by texting “FLORENCE” to 90999. The donation will appear on your wireless bill or will be deducted from your prepaid balance. It’s a convenient way for anyone to help if they have the funds to give.
