In Yesterday’s event, Apple launched their next generation iPhones. The iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max are the next generations iPhones, but way more overpriced.
Before talking about the pricing lets dive into their specifications.
iPhone XR – Specifications
Let’s first talk about Apple’s Budget-Friendly (yes, budget-friendly) iPhone XR. It comes with the colorful variants, that we last in iPhone 5C, but the product failed to grab attention. However, Apple is trying to gain back the Colorful variant market by introducing it with Aluminum Body and glass back.
It will be available in Black, White, Yellow, Red, Coral, and Blue colors.
The device will have a 6.1-inch LCD display having a resolution of 1792x828p. meh!
Also, it will feature a 120Hz Touch Layer for smoother scrolling. It is a TrueTone Display and has haptic touch along with Tap To Wake Feature. Apple calls this LCD display Liquid Retina Display. The sensors in the device include Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Flood Illuminator, Infrared Camera and Dot Projector.
The iPhone XR comes with a single 12MP wide-angle lens and does have OIS. The lens here has the f/1.8 aperture as well.
It comes with latest A12 Bionic SoC, which has 7nm architecture. It has IP67 certification.
iPhone XS and XS Max – iPhone XR’s elder siblings
The iPhone XS and XS Max come with the new A12 Bionic 7nm SoC onboard. Both devices will be available in 3 different colors: Gold, Silver and Space Grey.
The iPhone XS consists of a 5.8-inch Super Retina (OLED) display, having a resolution of 2436x1125p. It also features the 120Hz touch layers in the display.
The iPhone XS Max consists of a 6.5-inch Super Retina Display (OLED), with a resolution of 2688x1242p. It also features the 120Hz touch layers.
Both of the above iPhones consist of Dolby Vision and HDR 10. Now let’s move to the camera. Both iPhone XS and XS Max feature dual camera set up in front and rear. The rear camera features 12MP Wide Angle + 12MP Telephoto lens. The first lens sports an aperture of f/1.8, whereas the second one features an aperture of f/2.4 along with 2x optical zoom.
Both of them feature OIS. The front camera feature a 7MP RGB Camera with aperture f/2.2. The second camera is the IP camera.
iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max pricing
The Budget-friendly iPhone XR will cost you $749 for the 64GB variant. The iPhone XS will cost you $999 for base (64GB) variant. The eldest of them iPhone XS Max will cost you $1099 for the base (64 GB) Variant.
The iPhone XR will be available in three different storage variant: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The iPhone XS and XS Max will be available in three different storage as well: 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
According to me, these are way overpriced.
I am still in shock with this pricing and minimal upgrade. Apple Costumers are so faithful that they will buy, no matter what Apple asks for.
