Sony Xperia XZ3 Leak Reveals Dynamic Curvy Design

Sony Xperia XZ3, the company’s next flagship, is leaked. Specs are similar to every 2018 device while the design is more round and curvy this time, which isn’t one of the typical boxy design we have seen on Sony’s past devices.

The phone rather follows “ambient design” flow introduced with the XZ2 in February this year. The device has “dynamic curves and arches” which is basically glass curving into the metal frame.

The frame has special touch areas at the edge of the screen that can trigger certain actions. No, this isn’t one of those “squeezable” phones like the Google Pixel 2. How Sony will use its functionality is still unknown, though.

On the back, is a 19 MP camera, with the sensor and flash stack arranged vertically above it. Below the camera is the fingerprint sensor. Surprisingly not on the power button this time.

Even though the device had 18:9 display, we can still see thick bezels around it. Our source says that Sony has managed to pack powerful dual front facing speakers. This makes the phone look similar to the Pixel 3.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a  6 inch P-OLED 2880×1440 display. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 845 and comes with 4GB RAM onboard. It is available in 64 GB storage variant and is backed up by a 3,300 mAh battery. This phone might possibly be the first device to come with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. Color options include Silver White, Forest Green and Bordeaux Red.
