T-Mobile confirms its data has been breached
T-Mobile has confirmed that hackers have breached their data. The company calls it an “unauthorized capture of data”, where the hackers tried to gain access. Also, they tried getting the costumer details, bill number, and many more things. In fact, they also got to know what type of connection the user is using.
T-Mobile did recognize the breach and successfully shut it down, before anything serious could happen. Even then, around 2% of the users’ data was affected.
Though they notified its affected users via a text message, as usual, it looked like a phishing message. If you see the following tweet, you will get to know why.
Why? BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE PHISHING! https://t.co/5fZJxaKszd

Back in May, a loophole was found in T-Mobile’s security. This loophole allowed you to get customer data without password.
