The Galaxy Note 9 is finally launched today in the Unpacked event in New York City. The phone isn’t just another incremental Update or spec bump over the last year’s Galaxy Note but comes with some major changes.
Galaxy Note 9 Specs
The Galaxy Note 9 has a beautiful Super AMOLED UHD display, just like its predecessor. The phone comes with a massive 4,000 mAh battery, largest on any Note, ever. The base model comes with 128 GB of internal storage coupled with 6 GB RAM. To make things beefier, there’s another variant with 512GB Storage and 8GB of RAM!
Samsung has also updated its S-pen. The S-pen now comes with low-frequency Bluetooth technology. This enables users to use the button on the S-pen to do things like capture an image from distant, or change presentations on Microsoft Powerpoint, as demonstrated in the Unpacked event. You can remap it to do other things too, like Play or pause a YouTube video, etc.
The charge the S-pen, you just have to put it inside the Note 9 and you can get up to 30 mins of usage with just 40 seconds of charge!
The camera on the Galaxy Note 9 is updated as well. It now comes with the variable aperture we saw earlier on the S9 with optical stabilization on both the lenses. The fingerprint sensor is also now relocated below the camera module. However, it’s small and that might be a problem for users having small hands.
The Galaxy Note 9 will come in Blue and Pink / Purple color. The phone will have Android Oreo out of the box and will get Android Pie too!
The Galaxy Note 9 is probably the best smartphone ever made by Samsung. With no notch, a headphone jack, stereo speakers and a massive battery, this can be the perfect phone for a lot of people who aren’t getting along with the 2018 trends.
