Spotify may come to India pretty soon, shows up on Play store for some users, A lite version under test:- Biggest international music streaming service Spotify is planning to launch its services in India.  For a long time, Indian users have been struggling to get the services run in India. This included the use of VPN services, creating new accounts using those VPNs and many other things.

Few users have notified Digit that the up is available on Play Store to download. Also, he used no VPNs to download the app.

They have also introduced a new section for Indian Flavour, called ‘Desi’. The Desi section has mostly Indian Music in it. If you have an account, you can head to their Desi section.

In March, this year, CEO Daniel Ek said:

We are working on launching in some of the biggest markets in the world, including India, Russia, and Africa which has a very rich musical culture.

The large media streaming service will bring competition to several others, like Saavn, Gaana and other.

Also, Spotify is testing a lite version of their app. This lite version is intended for those users who have low config device or slow internet. The app follows the footsteps of Google and Facebook. For example Maps GO and Facebook Lite.
