Galaxy Jean is a rebranded Galaxy A6+ by Samsung
Samsung recently launched Galaxy A6 in its home country, South Korea. But nothing was known if its elder sibling will be launched or not. However, today Samsung launched Galaxy Jean, in South Korea. The device has been listed on Samsung’s official website. It will be available for purchase from South Korean telecom provider kt.
Samsung’s rebranding strategy – A6+ is Galaxy Jean!
If we compare the model numbers of both Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy Jean, its SM-A605. This strongly confirms that the device is Galaxy A6+.
I don’t understand why Samsung always rename their device and launch them into different markets! Why don’t they keep a single name, so that there is no confusion at all?
Anyways, there is a smaller difference between Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy Jean. The A6+ houses a 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. Whereas, this device houses 3GB RAM with 32GB storage.
The device sports a massive 2220x1080p display which is similar to 8.5:9 aspect ratio. This aspect ratio is present on several devices like J6, J8, and A6+ as well. The device runs on a 1.8GHz Octa-core processor, most probably a Snapdragon 450 or Exynos 7870.
The camera is a dual-camera setup. The rear camera comes with a 16-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/1.7, whereas, the secondary camera comes with a 5-megapixel lens with aperture f/1.9.
The device comes with an expansion slot for SD cards up to 256GB. The Galaxy Jean will be available for 440,000 Won from KT in Black or Lavender color.
