Surface Studio and Pro receives firmware updates


Microsoft releases firmware updates for Surface Studio and Surface Pro:- Microsoft recently released updates for the two devices. The new updates bring some new features for the two devices.  One has Surface Pen improvements, whereas other got the stability of eSIM.

Surface Studio receives Surface Pen enhancements

The Surface Studio is a desktop computer from Microsoft. It is suitable for all those designers sitting there. It has some top-grade hardware configuration. The general hardware configuration of this device includes a 28″ PixelSense Display. This display has 10 multi-touch points as well. Also, it comes with 3:2 aspect ratio.

You will get 2 storage options: 1TB or 2TB Rabid Hybrid Drive. As for connections, you will get 4 USB 3.0 slots, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a 3.5mm jack as well. You will also get two processors options –  either go with i5 or i7, it’s all your choice. For RAM, you can go with either 8GB, 16GB or 32GB.

The Surface Pro sports either m3, or i5, or i7, which entirely depends on your requirements.  The m3 Model comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. the i5 variant has 3 models. 2 with 128GB storage but with either 4GB or 8GB option. The i7 model has 3 models as well. One with 128GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage. the 1TB and the 512GB model comes with 16GB RAm whereas 128GB model comes with 8GB RAM.

The new update brings several changes to Studio:

  1. Firmware: enables Surface Pen advanced feature support.
  2.  Human Interface Device: enables Surface Pen advanced feature support.
  3. System devices: enables Surface Pen advanced feature support.

The update to Surface Pro brings this feature:

  1. Gemalto eSIM Firmware Update – System devices: improves eSIM service stability.
