Samsung has been working on two new premium phones Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite. The phones are rumored to be released on 7th July, and it seems China is the first market where dives will be launched. The fact that pre-orders have started in China for both the devices only adds more support to the claim.
A Chinese Twitter user @MMDDJ_ tweeted an image for online pre-booking of Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite. The image is in Chinese and roughly translates to “Samsung China launches GALAXY A9 Star and A9 Star lite. Book with Ali pay and have a chance to get the tickets for the launch event.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Star is rumored to have a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with 2220×1080 pixels resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is also expected to feature with 4GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage, a 16 MP selfie camera, 24+16MP dual rear camera setup, and a 3,700mAh battery. On the software front, the device could run Android Oreo out-of-the-box. As for Galaxy A9 Star Lite, is a toned down version of A9 Star with smaller display, camera and battery but otherwise similar hardware specs.
Samsung Galaxy A9 is expected to be priced at CNY 3,699 ($575) while Galaxy A9 Star Lite could sell at CNY 2,699 ($420).
