Microsoft adds phone APIs in its latest Windows Insider Build.

Is this the Surface Phone?

There are rumors appearing time to time about Microsoft entering into the phone business again and some people even call it the Surface Phone or a foldable device code named as Project Andromeda. But we never came to know if Microsoft is even working on that device.

But it seems we might have another clue about their ‘secret’ project. For starters, Windows Insider Builds are beta tests builds not meant for daily usage. However, the latest build when ha is a  preview for Redstone 5 has new APIs adding support to dialing numbers, contacts, blocking numbers, support for Bluetooth headsets, speakerphone mode and other features as well.

The code also hints support for video calling. Microsoft hasn’t issued any formal notice about all these stuff but it seems like the Surface Phone is near than expected.
