The first Android Go phone is available in US for $80


ZTE has become the first company to launch its Tempo Go smartphone, as the first smartphone in the Android Go lineup to be available in the United States. It is now available for purchase in ZTE’s official website at a price of $79.99

Android Go is a special configuration of Android Oreo designed for lower-end mobile devices, particularly those with less than 1GB of RAM. It features a number of stripped-down UI elements and variants of traditional Google apps made to optimize memory usage.

The hardware is not really good even with the Android GO optimizations but it wont hurt your wallet to own one of these. The ZTE Tempo Go is one of the devices that will use Android Go in the United States. The Alcatel 1X phone will be available Stateside “in the coming months,” most other Android Go devices are aimed at developing markets.
