The latest teaser lies in the Pacific Rim promotional video, which hints on the tie-up of the company and the movie. The trailer begins with a Jaeger (a massive building sized fighting machine) and a Kaiju (a giant interdimensional monster) that will be a part of the film that is released in India on Friday. However, the over one-minute video flaunts the Mi MIX 2S for few seconds at the end.
The other teaser is about the AI Camera features.
The clapping hands featured on the fresh teaser images, which have been posted on Weibo, suggest a high-speed videography experience of the Mi MIX 2S. It could be something like 4K video recording support at 60fps frame rate or 720p at 480fps slow-mo feature. If not the slow-mo feature, the clapping hands on the latest teasers are likely to hint a faster autofocus experience on the Mi MIX 2S than last year’s Mi MIX 2. A recently leaked custom ROM hinted at a Sony IMX363 image sensor on the Mi MIX 2S. This sensor was last seen on the ZenFone 5Z with 12-megapixel resolution and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) technology.
One of the latest teaser images also reveal some AI camera features. These features are expected to bring an enhanced beautification mode as well as text and image recognition capabilities.
The last teaser hints towards the image recognition feature that is to come with the device too.
Posted on Weibo, both teasers hint towards two major upcoming features of the handset. The first teaser shows popular artists like Van Gogh along with an unlock button that points towards an upgraded face recognition expected on the phone. The second teaser shows famous paintings and certain camera functions that hint towards the presence of a new AI-based scene recognition feature.

Apart from that, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi MIX 2S will have support for wireless charging (possibly Qi standard); the Mi MIX 2S will thus sport a glass back panel.
In terms of internals, Xiaomi has said that the smartphone will sport the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with an AnTuTu score of 273,741. Launch date of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S has been set for March 27 in Shanghai, China. We can expect pricing, availability, and an extensive list of features to be announced at the announcement next week.
