Last year, Google announced Hangout Chats to take on Slack. Well, Microsoft in the meantime announced Teams which is doing pretty good. Google already has too many messaging apps, on top of it they announced Hangouts Meet and Hangouts Chat last year. While the first one is for video chat and made available back in 2017, Hangout Chats was only available to those who are is Google’s Early Adopter Program.
Now it is available for all the G Suite users in 28 languages. One of the strengths of this new app is that it can hold up to 8000 people in one chat room. Google has also integrated AI and many third-party services to make it more appealing than the other alternatives available out there. For example, bots like @Drive and @Meet will increase your productivity by helping and organizing your files and events. Companies like UberCoference, Zoom, RingCentral, and Salesforce have partnered up with Google to integrate their services rightly inside the room.
