Alcatel 1X becomes the first Android Go Smartphone

A few days back we reported that Alcatel is planning to release three new devices. One of them was supposed to be a cheap device running on Android Go. Android Go is basically a lightweight version of Android which is supposed to work better on weaker hardware.  The device is same as the other budget devices but the software is slightly different thanks to Android Go with Android Go specific light apps. The phone is going on sale in Europe for 100 euro that is around $123. However, you need to pay 10 euro more if you want the Dual-SIM variant. Let’s take a look at the specification:

  • 5.3-inch 960×480 18:9 Display.
  • MediaTek Quad-Core 1.28 GHz Processor.
  • 1/2 GB RAM.
  • 16 GB Internal Memory.
  • 8/13 MP Rear Camera.
  • 5 MP Front Camera.
  • 2460 Battery.
