Earlier this year at CES 2018 Qualcomm announced the early list of major mobile carriers that will support Always Connected PC around the world. Today they’ve added new mobile carriers to the existing list of operators.
Always Connected PCs are Windows 10 PCs, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile PC platform. FOr connectivity, they’ll use on 4G/LTE network on supported operators worldwide.

New operators announced today that’ll provide 4G/LTE service to Always Connect PCs are:
- Australia – Telstra
- China – CMCC (China Mobile Communications Corporation)
- France – Transatel
- Germany – Deutsche Telekom
- Ireland – Cubic
- Spain – Telefónica
- Switzerland – Swisscom
- U.S.A – T-Mobile and AT&T
These operators were already announced by Qualcomm at CES 2018:
- China – China Telecom
- Italy – TIM
- U.K. – EE
- U.S. – Sprint, Verizon
At CES 2018 Lenovo announced their new Always Connected PC the Miix 630 2-in-1 detachable featuring the Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform and Windows 10S. With the increasing support from mobile operators and the partnership with many leading device manufacturers it would be interesting to see if these mobile PC devices will be able to make their space in the smartphone dominated market.
