If you remember OnePlus X, you might also know that it was the biggest failure in the smartphone line by the company. And lately there had been rumours that OnePlus was working on a new version of the device, namely the “OnePlus X2”.
But the company’s CEO, Carl Pei, noticed the story was quick to shut down the rumours on Twitter. The technology executive logged on to the social networking site to share a report of the rumour from GSM Arena, simply writing “nope” in response to the speculation.
These days people look for affordable devices with a higher specs, and the companies such consumers target include Xiaomi, Huawei and ofcourse OnePlus. When the company had launched the device to the public back in 2015, people appreciated the works of putting a metal and glass body to such an affordable device although the specs were disappointing when compared to the devices in the same range now.
GizChina had claimed that the OnePlus X2 will pack a Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM.In terms of other features, it claimed that the device would sport 16-megapixel (rear) and 8-megapixel (front) cameras, a 3,000mAh battery, Dash charging support and facial recognition and was supposedly to lie in the $250 range.
According to the rumoured specs, it seemed a great device with the SOC 835 beast in the budget. But the company has officialy denied working on such a device, but lets hope they work on such a device in the near future.
