Amazon’s India site (Amazon.in) is teasing the Galaxy A8 Plus to be an Amazon Exclusive. With less than a week for CES 2018 where even the Galaxy S9 will be unveiled, Samsung will show off its new mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018).
Though we know the specs already, pricing is something which isn’t yet revealed. While US pricing and a launch date should come at the Las Vegas show, an Amazon listing has now confirmed that the larger Galaxy A8 Plus will arrive in India as an Amazon exclusive.
The regular Galaxy A8 can be pre booked in Samsung’s home country South Korea for around $564 so it seems like the Galaxy A 8 Plus will be around $600.
The A series represents a nice balance between the S-series flagships and Samsung’s popular J-series phones. (or maybe J7 series because Samsung has already launched many J7 variants).
The Galaxy A8 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD+ panel with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio and carries an overall design similar to Samsung’s 2017 flagships, the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, and Note 8.
It also features a dual 16MP + 8MP front-facing camera with a Live Focus mode that lets you alter the background blur in selfies after taking a photo. The Galaxy A8 Plus is powered by an octa-core processor backed by 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, and a 3,500 mAh battery.
