After a year of launching a smartphone design which changed the entire standard of 2017 flagships, Samsung is now redesigning its Galaxy A line with the upcoming Galaxy A8 Plus having an Infinity Display just like the S8 and Note 8.
The tricky part about the display is that the earlier launched flagships had 18:5:9 aspect ratio but pictures suggest that the A8 Plus (2018) will be having a 18:9 aspect ratio.
We are not sure about what would be the specs but the phone will have the same design trend as other flagships and even mid range phone are now having such displays. The A series always had flagship level design with mid range internals so we expect a Snapdragon 6XX processor here.
The significant change in the design is the placement of the Fingerprint sensor. Leaks suggest that the fingerprint scanner will be located towards the middle of the back of the phone. No capacitive buttons will be there in the front, as there is no enough room left because of the Infinity Display.
The S8 and Note 8 had this huge complaint that the fingerprint sensor has been placed awkwardly and you have to stretch out you hand in order to reach it which feels too uncomfortable. Seems like Samsung is listening and they even tend to change the positioning in the upcoming Galaxy S phone.
The earlier Galaxy A line have been released in either December od January in the past two years. So, we don’t have to wait much for the leaks to come true.
Can the A8 Plus (2018) compete with the likes if midrange flagships like the OnePlus 5T and Honor 8? Let us know in the comments.
