Microsoft Office is now available for Chromebooks.

ChromeOS is the latest OS competing against the likes of a Windows or Mac ecosystems. With addition of Office suite of apps, it has got even better. Google have their own alternatives of Office apps but Microsoft Office is what we are aquainted with, for so many years now.

Office apps were available on new Chromebooks like Google’s own Pixelbook but the older ones experienced errors. Now suddenly, these are available in the Play Store not only on new Chromebooks but also the older ones including the Samsung Chromebook Pro, Acer C771 and two models of the Chromebook 15.

If you own a Chromebook, this means you can now head to the Play Store and download Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You’ll need a subscription to Office 365 in order to actually edit files on these apps if you have a Chromebook with a display larger than 10.1-inches, but even so, the fact that everyone now actually has the option to use these apps is great.

Chromebooks are definitely something unique we’ve seen iver the past years. It has its own pros and cons but still, they are good alternatives to traditional PCs.
