The support for Samsung Galaxy X foldable smartphone appears online in Korea meaning an official launch is near.
We have heard all kinds of rumours about the Galaxy X. Back in September, we had found a Korean Certificate for model number SM-G888NO (where NO stands for Korean market). We also found sketches of the foldable device shortly after that. And now finally, the support page appears online. All these things predict that the smartphone’s launch is very near.
The page was found by folks at Mobiel Kopen. The support page, however, does not give us any more details regarding the specifications of this revolutionary device.
The Samsung Galaxy X will get a flip phone design with two displays upfront. Not all smartphone components can be made flexible at present, so this smartphone can bend only one side by using a special multi-joint hinge. The foldable phone already received Bluetooth and WiFi certification, so these features will definitely be available.
As the Snapdragon 845 processor has not yet been made officially, the Galaxy X will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor.
In addition to the Galaxy X foldable smartphone we believe Samsung may also work on a Galaxy foldable tablet. Earlier this month we discovered a new patent showing sketches of a foldable tablet design.
