Nokia 5 3GB Variant launched in India, will be sold online
HMD Global, the firm that made Nokia come back into the mobile business, has announced a new Nokia 5 variant for the Indian market with 3GB RAM. The original Nokia 5 was announced at MWC this year with 2GB RAM, but now it’s available with increased 3GB memory.
Nokia 5 went on sale this June in India, but it hasn’t been as successful as other smartphones in the same price bracket due to its comparatively lower specs. That’s why Nokia has buffed its RAM and launching it again as a newer variant. “Nokia 5 has already forged a reputation for being a beautifully crafted phone which punches well above its weight. Now we have added more memory so fans can get enhanced performance in the same precision engineered design.”, said Ajey Mehta, the Vice President for HMD Global India in a statement. Ajay Yadav, the Vice President of Smartphones at Flipkart added, “We are delighted to partner with HMD Global for the new launch of the Nokia 5 exclusively on Flipkart. We believe that this device which is a package that perfectly balances high performance, premium design and competitive pricing, will drive a huge audience across the country coupled with Flipkart’s wide reach, reinforcing our online market leadership in smartphones.”
Nokia 5 features:
- 3 GB RAM | 16 GB ROM | Expandable Up to 128 GB
- 5.2 inch HD Display
- 13MP Rear Camera | 8MP Front Camera
- 3000 mAh Battery
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit Processor
The device is available in 2 colors, Matte Black and Tempered Blue. It will be available for purchase online starting tomorrow, 7th November through Flipkart exclusive sale. The sale will be expanded to more outlets after 14th November.
