Bezel-less, a.k.a the 18:9 aspect ratio displays are quite common in the 2017 devices. This trend was successfully started by Xiaomi itself with the Mi MIX, which got an upgrade to the better MIX 2.
While these displays actually are seen on the higher end devices, Xiaomi is looking to implement it in its budget device : Redmi 5 Plus.
This image was published on Weibo, which shows the typical Xiaomi design with a little bit of adjustment to fit the display properly. This device is similar to the Redmi Pro with the fingerprint scanner moved to the back for the bezel-less display. The front camera, ear piece and the sensor are still to the top in the front, which is a good move by the company. The rear has a dual camera setup with the fingerprint sensor, with the usual Mi branding to the bottom. As there is no speaker grill on the back, it is known that the speakers are present at the bottom.
About the hardware, the Redmi 5 Plus will reportedly feature either a Snapdragon 625 or Snapdragon 630 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a lot that is not known about this device, and Xiaomi has not disclosed about its release.
