Google is releasing a new payment service “TEZ” in India
Since the demonetization, India has witnessed huge growth in the online transaction. While PayTM, Mobikwik holding the top portion, other companies are upping their game with UPI ( Unified Payments Interface ). Samsung recently brought Samsung Pay to India with their Galaxy series smartphone. Truecaller already UPI to their services, so is WhatsApp going to later this year. Microsoft bought PayPal service in their Skype app. Now it seems like google doesn’t wanna fall behind in the race of Online Payment Services in India even though they have not brought Android Pay to India yet.
The Ken, via TechCrunch reports that Google Tez is an upcoming payment system from Google for India. It will use Indian Government’s United Payment System to bring secure, easy payment system to its customers. Google also applied for a trade mark for the word “Tez” and will launch the service in Indonesia and Philippines soon.
