Second Cumulative Update of the Month rolling out to Windows 10 Anniversary update users
Microsoft has released another update for Windows 10 users currently on Aniversary update. Even though it’s the second big update this month, there’s nothing new included in it except for bug fixes and improvements.
The first update was build 14393.1613 earlier this month, and it didn’t offer anything exciting either. This new update, build 14393.1670 fixes some of the known bugs and improves quality. The official changelog for KB4034658 mentions just two bug fixes.
Addressed issue where Update History and hidden updates are lost and a full scan for updates happens after installing OS Updates 14393.1532 through 14393.1613, including KB4034658. Installing this update will not restore past update history or hidden updates for users who have already installed the listed updates. However, this current update will address this issue for users who have not yet installed them.
Addressed issue with WSUS update metadata processing that can cause some clients to time out with a 0x8024401c error.
The update is rolling out to all the Windows 10 Anniversary update users. Users can directly update their PC via Settings> Update & Security > Windows Updates and clicking “Check for updates”.
