Asus flagship Zenfone AR launched in India, priced at Rs. 49,999

Asus announced its latest flagship at CES 2017 back in January this year, and now it’s been launched in India at an event in Delhi. Asus Zenfone AR, the first-of-its-kind smartphone, will be available exclusively for purchase on online retailer Flipkart.

Asus Zenfone AR flaunts to support Google Tango AR as well as Google Daydream VR platform. Although Lenovo Phab 2 Pro also supports Google Tango AR, but lacks Google Daydream VR support, hence making Asus Zenfone the first one. Asus Zenfone fully supports VR when coupled with Google Daydream device. This VR  ready device can be used for gaming, education, productivity apps and entertainment.

Zenfone AR comes with whopping 8 gigs of RAM, that’s another unique feature of this smartphone. It runs on Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor. Internal storage varies by model, 64/128/256 GB versions are available. For connectivity, there’s 4G VoLTE support along with Bluetooth 4.2, Wifi Direct and GLONASS GPS.
