Asus debuts the first-ever Ryzen laptop, eight-core chip on-board


Taiwanese tech giant Asus announced the launch of their new series of gaming laptops at Computex tech event. They unveiled the first gaming laptop with an eight-core processor on board. The new Asus Strix GL702ZC gaming laptops come with an eight-core AMD Ryzen 1700 processor. The other variants of the model include a six-core Ryzen 5 1600 and the quad-core Ryzen 3 1200.

The motherboard supports up to 32GB of DDR4-2400 memory and up to 512GB of SSD. The screen size of the device is 17 inch and it is one of the most affordable 17-inch laptops with a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. You’ll also find a trio of USB Type-A ports and a single USB-C port of unknown speed, as well as an SD card reader. Overall, the new Strix GL702C is a combination of both innovation and best pricing.
