Microsoft announces its first Windows 10 S device: Surface Laptop


Finally, Microsoft unveiled their new addition to the world renowned Surface family of devices, The new Surface Laptop. Microsoft Surface Laptop is the first Windows 10 S device. It runs on the newly introduced Windows 10 variant which would be named as Windows 10 S and it is focused on education related users.

As we mentioned above, the new variant of the Windows 10 is for the scholars and students. So, Microsoft built a new device for running the new scholar’s Windows 10 operating system. The new Microsoft Surface Laptop is the Windows 10 S device made for the scholars and educational users.

The laptop features a 13.5in display with 3.4 million colors. That screen is compatible with the Surface pen, too. It comes with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, and the company claims that it’ll give you a whopping 14 and a half hours of battery life. Microsoft compared the Surface Laptop with the leading Macbook models such as Macbook Pro and Macbook Air and here is the result:


Surface Pen works with this Surface laptop as well. Microsoft Surface Laptop is powered by Core i5 and i7 processors and supports up to 1TB PCIe SSD option. Microsoft is offering up to 14.5 hours of battery life and incredibly long standby time with this device. The surface docking station is supported in this laptop as well. It costs $999 for the i5 version with 4GB RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. You can pre-order from today and will be in shops on 15th June.
