About a month ago Instagram introduced a new feature to its service called Live video. This feature has now been released for Windows 10 devices with the recent update to app, along with some improvements to Direct feature.
Live videos let you stream live videos through your device, much like Facebook Live or YouTube streams, for up to an hour. You just need to swipe right from feed to open the camera and tap the “Start Live Video” button to go live. Your friends will be notified of the same through a notification and they can like and comment on the video as much as they want.
Some UI changes are also included in this update, such as swiping right from the feed takes you to camera directly where you can capture photos or video, add doodles, stickers etc and post it.
Although the new update is available for all users, the feature is rolling out slowly and only few users have received it as of now. According to MSPU Instagram is gradually rolling out Live video feature, so this might take some time for complete roll out.
