GroupMe has been updated with an implemented video search

Today Microsoft has pushed out another update for their GroupMe messaging app. Currently there are two versions in the Windows Store, on the one hand the version for Windows Phone 8 and then there is this version we are talking about, that’s obviously the one for Windows 10 Mobile. GroupMe is actually a part of Skype, which Microsoft bought a while ago and therefor the company does own GroupMe now as well.

While it was not a joy to use the messaging app at the very beginning of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft is now regularly updating their app. The ability to add calender appointments and to search for GIF’s has been implemented with previous updates for the app. With the latest version, 1.10.8.0, the company has now also implemented video search directly in the app. Therefor you can simply tap the plus sign in the lower right corner.

The video search itself is of course powered by Bing and can be used basically just like the video search you are using from day to day on the Bing website. Once you have shared a video in GroupMe and others want to watch it, it will be opened in Microsoft Edge. Here is what the new feature looks like:
