Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10581 Hands on & Impressions

Microsoft is currently preparing Windows 10 Mobile for the final release so that they can on the one hand, finally offer the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL which will be shipped with Windows 10 Mobile and on the other hand that they do finally have Windows 10 on all of their devices (Windows 10 for Xbox One will be released soon as well). However the operating system has not been released yet though it is in a very final shape and it feels very fluent and stable in day to day use.

Since the release of Windows 10 Mobile for Windows Insiders I am using the operating system on my main device, since I normally do not have two devices and there has been a hard time back then wen it was in a very early stage and everything crashed restarted and used up the battery in a few hours, however there has been huge improvement. The Lockscreen is not completely fixed yet but at least if you turn on the screen the clock is immediately displayed now which is great. The new settings are just awesome and I am a huge fan of the personalization options which you do have in the next generation mobile operating system from Microsoft. It is possible to use a ‘Phablet mode’ on all devices now which means that you can use the five quick actions or the multi tasking view which is displayed in two rows for example. Furthermore you can choose between a ‘Tile picture’ like you are used to from Windows Phone or you can use a ‘Full Screen Picture’ and there is a whole lot more of customization.

To make it short, I am very optimistic about Windows 10 Mobile and I am looking forward to the final release of Windows 10 Mobile. If you head over to our YouTube Channel you can see another speed comparison between the latest Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build and Windows Phone 8.1.
