[Video] Microsoft Lumia 640 XL: Gaming Performance

A Smartphone does have to do a few jobs in the modern time. There is on the one hand the camera, which is very important to pretty much every smartphone user. There you can choose from almost everything, doesn’t matter if you want a phone with 41 Megapixel like the Nokia Lumia 1020 for example or if you are okay with a camera which has 5 Megapixel or less. Ther is of course the design which is important to users. Dozens of different designs are out there to choose from an there are even device which are looking pretty similar but are surprisingly from two different companies. However mostly used is plastic for a phone case, second most used is brushed Aluminium I guess and of course also glass is an important material in the smartphone business. So now the user of a smartphone is looking at his phone and the design is just fine, also the camera is perfect but the classic smartphone user does probably also want to have a phone which has a good overall performance therefor the build in Hardware should not be too weak and the operating system should not be too laggy.

As you can see in our Unboxing Video of the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL the design of this phone is indeed pretty nice. It has a removeable back cover made out of plastic which is available in black, White, orange and cyan with a matt finish and is about 9mm thin. Now this doesn’t sound too special and I have to admit that the phone does not have a very remarkable design but it is totally okay for a 200$ phone with a 5,7 inch Screen. More Details about the design of the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL will be revealed in our Hands On of the device.

However, lets talk about the general performance of this Windows Phone. Now I had the chance to test this device for about 2 weeks and there I also dealed with the performance of the device. For everyday use there absolutely now reason why you should get yourself a more powerful device. The Lumia 640 XL coped very well with every challenge it had to deal with. by everyday use I mean of course things like calling, messaging, browsing the web, social networking and things like that. So stuff what you are really doing every day. Admittedly it would be very odd if the device could not manage everyday challenges however it is great though to see the Windows Phone os performing so well on this device.
Apart from everyday use there is of course another thing which crucial to say if the device has got the right hardware or not. The 640 XL has got 1GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU which is a quad core processor with 1,2 GHz. So this doesn’t sound too bad, 1 GB RAM is enough in order to not have any compatibility issues which are not working with 512 MB of RAM and a quad core processor is fairly enough for the Windows Phone operating system and should perform well with gaming.

In the video below I am taking a look on the Gaming Performance of the latest phablet from Microsoft. Therefore I have installed some classic games from the Windows Phone App Store like Halo: Spartan Strike, Fast & Furious or Crossy Roads. SO have a look at the video and let me know your opinion below in comments what you think about the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL.
