Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074: Download the ISO file for a clean installation here
That was fast, after Build 10061 which has been released by Microsoft just a couple of days ago, the company has now released another Build version of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for Desktop PC’s. Build 10074 brings a few new features which have been shown by Microsoft at the Build Conference yesterday in San Francisco and of course there has been done, once again, a lot of work under the hood of Windows 10 to make it a bit more smoother experience.
Now the simplest way to update from Build 10061 to the latest one is to download the update via Windows Update in the Settings App, in order to do this follow the steps shown below:
- Windows Update:
Ask Cortana to search for ‘Check for Updates’ or simply type it in.
- Open Windows Update:
Once you have typed in ‘Check for Updates’ the top entry should be highlighted and should be just the one you are looking for, otherwise have a look at the list below to find the right settings.
- Check for Updates:
If your Windows System has not already detected the latest Windows 10 Build, click on ‘Check Now’ to look for new Updates.
- fbl_impressive Professional 10074:
Along with some other Update Windows should now detect the latest version of Windows 10, it will be called as follows: fbl_impressive Professional 10074
Now the second way, and also my preferred way, to install new Preview Builds of Windows 10 is to install the update with an ISO file. The advantage of this version is that you can make a clean installation and your system will probably run smoother however you will have to backup all your data since it will be deleted with a clean installations.
Below you can download both the x86 and the x64 version of the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10074, all you have to do when you have finished downloading the ISO file is to make a bootable USB Drive. I would recommend you to use Rufus for that job. Just download the latest version of this freeware and you are ready to go.
Drop me comment below if you experience any problems with installing the latest Build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview. Stay tuned for more information about the latest Build 10074.
