Report: Google is Working on it’s Own Cellular Carrier Network; Using Sprint Towers
New information has surfaced stating that Google will soon offer it’s own service by buying usage rights of Sprint’s towers and reselling the service to customers. Beyond Sprint, there are also rumors that Google is also trying to work out a deal with T-Mobile, which would enable use of many of the bands we already have flying over our heads. As has happened in the past, this could cause a major disruption in the way carriers currently sell and market their plans, and could hopefully force carriers to start pricing more competitively. Google has already implemented high speed fiber optic internet in some cities, and is hoping to expand soon.
What do you think of the idea? Would you switch over to a Google-run provider? Let us know
