Dropbox App available for Windows and Windows Phone

Finally there is also an official Dropbox app in the Windows Phone and Windows app Store, Dropbox today announced it’s next step of the partnership with Microsoft and released the app for Microsofts Smartphone and Tablet/PC operating system.

According to the official Dropbox Blog the following features are included in the Windows 8 / RT and the Windows Phone app:

  • Automatically back up your photos to Dropbox.
  • Mark files as favorites so you can get to them even when you don’t have an Internet connection.
  • Access both your personal and work accounts at once.

The company has even build in some specific features for Windows users therefore it is also possible to pin folders of your Dropbox account separately to your start screen. The app is available for all Windows Phone devices with version 8.0 or above and for all devices running Windows 8 or Windows 8 RT.
