Microsoft agrees to sell MixRadio to LINE

Microsoft has just announced it has reached an agreement to sell MixRadio to popular IM service LINE.

MixRadio is personalized online music service created by Nokia and was sold with Nokia’s mobile division to Microsoft early this year.
Seeing as Microsoft already has its Xbox Music service which is identical (or even better than MixRadio), this sale comes as no surprise to many.
MixRadio has now gone from Nokia to Microsoft and now to LINE within a year, poor guys they have to undergo the process of getting a new badge everytime.
Here is what MixRadio Head (see what I did there?) had to say about the acquistion

“We wanted MixRadio to continue to operate with a commitment to constant innovation and aspiration to deliver the best possible mobile-first experience to listeners. LINE share this vision and our passion for simple, personal and fun user experiences in every way”.

Here’s wishing the MixRadio team good luck, looking forward to seeing the service on Android and IOS…
